Visitors

Visitors are always given a warm welcome at Grange-over-Sands Golf Club. The course offers a challenge to all standards of golfers. It provides a true test of golf in a beautiful setting. Never underestimate the course – first impressions can be deceptive! Although it appears very flat the natural features and cunning dog-legs has been known to catch out even the most experienced golfer. Its flatness is a particular attraction to golfers “of a certain age” or whose mobility is in someway impaired. Buggies are also available for hire, as are trolleys – electric and push trolleys. (It is advisable to book buggies in advance to avoid disappointment.)

Grange-over-Sands Golf Club’s on-line tee booking system means that visitors can book convenient tee times from the luxury of their own homes 24/7. The system provides a full year calendar which means that visitors can see at a glance when Open competitions are to be held. These too can be booked on-line.

Visitors will also find plenty of accommodation options within Grange-over-Sands itself or within easy striking distance. Its location close to the Lake District makes it ideal for combining golf with other outdoor leisure activities, whilst its proximity to Kendal and other villages and towns provides plenty of things for the non-golfers in your party.

The friendly clubhouse provides an ideal venue to meet up and enjoy a drink or snack together. When arriving at the club visitors are asked to register in the Golf Shop.

If you have not reserved and paid for your tee time via the on-line booking system we will do our best to accommodate you but would ask that you avoid Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Saturdays as these are the days we reserve for our members' competitions.

For insurance and health and safety reasons all visitors will be asked to provide basic details such as name, address, contact telephone number and e-mail address. The Club maintains a computerised database which enables us to send you details from time to time of our special offers. If you do not wish your contact details to be included on the database you can opt out by informing the staff when you book in.

We ask that visitors read and observe our rules on dress to ensure that your visit runs smoothly.
